Spark Wonder & Follow Curiosity
For Ages 5-7

The Spark Studio buzzes with movement, curiosity, and play, essential at this developmental stage. Learners engage in play-based education, acquiring real-life skills, and developing independence, focus, and kindness.

  • Physical and Emotional Growth: Activities include song, dance, outdoor play, and art, fostering emotional awareness and peaceful communication.

  • Connection to Nature: Encouraging exploration of natural cycles and routines.

  • Life Skills: Practical skills, foundational reading, math and writing instruction

  • Waldorf environment: Play invitations and library 

  • Guided Learning: Daily activities are prepared, with a focus on observing learners' needs and tailoring the day to their interests and curiosities.

  • Learner-Led Foundations: Introduction to systems that support independent responsibilities, problem-solving, and studio maintenance, paving the way for more autonomous learning in the Discovery Studio.

 Daily Schedule



Monday-Thursday 9:00-12:30pm
Outdoor grounds open at 8:30am for children to play

8:40-8:55 am Group morning Routine (brain gym exercises and set daily intention)
We are an all weather program. Children need to wear weather appropriate clothing for outside time.  Spark learners do have a dedicated indoor studio space.

Each day has a rhythm and will include activities such as:

​

  • Socratic Launch to deliver real life skills and practice communication

  • Somatic movement: breath practice, meditation, dance, drumming, art, music

  • Small group reading instruction

  • Nature math

  • Waldorf books and activities

  • Loose parts play time

  • Read aloud and book exploration

  • Life skills practice

  • Studio maintenance

  • Reflection Circle and close

At the conclusion of our learning block, friends are able to get picked up or invited to stay and eat lunch together and enjoy outside play time until 2:00pm. Friends need to be able to self manage. Parents will take turns volunteering to supervise during this time, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for our families.
